Excellent I'm presuming the higher the number in graphics card the better a nvidia gtx 660 is better than the gtx 650?

    If you believe this:

    AnandTech - Bench - GPU12

the 660 is much better than a 650.

    Optical drive.

Third-party cooler for the CPU, if you ever intend to overclock. (It'd be almost a sin to not overclock a 3570k, at least a little.)

120-128GB SSD for the OS. (Not really helpful for gaming, but de rigeur for enthusiast systems these days.)

paulpp add up all your choices and let us know how the budget is doing.

I still think the case and power supply in my post# 16 is a good choice.

Considering I only have £110 left to spend on the pc ye case would take up at least half the price of that

Is it still possible to get a decent psu and fans for this price budget as well?

    Regards paul

For psu try a coolermaster 550gx about £50 , it's a good solid unit . As for fans it all depends on your final choice of case . It might need 120mm , 140m , some even have 180mm up front . But the norm is 2 x 120mm up front and one rear exhaust so a pack of corsair sp/af 120mm and a single about £35 for the 3 , With your case lets say £50 it adds up to £135 a little over budget.
