Did you restart after every driver install ?
No. Is that bad? Will the ones that did work be gone tomorrow or something?

Have you installed all rounds of Important and Optional Updates after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3)? If not do that now. It should have been the first thing done to get all drivers, performance and security updates.

If you want I will connect, finish and optimize your install. Install TeamViewer Download at all defaults and PM me the ID and password, leave it open on your desktop.

    Gcd89,

When you started up your laptop did the resolution change ? I believe your resolution should be at 1366x768

    Try this link

    http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/57100

    Click on Agree&Download .

Its for the Nvidia Geforce 310M .

Does your laptop have an Nvidia sticker on it?

If I were you, I`d let Greg connect, 85 posts and you`re still not done yet. Did you even read the tutorials we posted for you ?

That would be a lot easier. I think he is trying to learn something as well.

Doing your 1st install with help from the internet is not a learning experience, more like a nightmare if you don`t understand.

I just want to say to Gcd89, don`t get too frustrated, my 15 year daughter can install windows, so it is very easy. Let us know when you come back so we can finish up.

For a first timer its hell. But once you get the gif of installing Windows you could install Windows without an issue. IF installing Windows 7 is hard. Thankfully he is not asking how to install Windows XP over the internet. We would have to tell him Press F6 to load the drivers so your HD could be seen .
