My post was not intended to bash anybody or intended to point to anybody. Just stating known facts about a torrent. More of a reminder to the security risk a torrent has.

How about we stop with the torrent talk and get back on focus of helping the thread starter get back on track with his laptop issue free .

Great idea VistaKing.
Torrent = infection = slow computer. No mater how many partitions there are.
Totally fake.
Torrent by itself is just a means to download/upload data and isn't inherently related to any particular exploit. What data you send over it may have something to do, the very same that can happen over regular HTTP or email.
Ok, return to topic.
I don't really like to suggest this, but maybe it's time for a clean install. I guess you're still running the pre-installed Windows which came with the computer (hence the McAfee thing) that often comes with a great bunch of useless things, plus your own stuff. A brand new full install will clean all this.
Partitions will not help at all with performance, they're only for managing your files in a different way.
