Computer freezes randomly for 2-5 sec. Tryed everything.

I have an asus g73 jh. And i have spend the last 2 weeks on trying to fix this problem. Meanwhile i have stumbled upon a lot of people complaining about this model. Well asus in general. But anyway, i really want to fix this problem becaus it is really getting on my nerves. I really had no idea on where to post this thread since it occures in everything i am doing.

But the problem started 2 weeks ago, in the beginning it was just random screen freeze while i was playing Leauge of legends, and also sims 3. I could play games like crysis 3 demo on high without any problem. But for about 3 hours ago it started in every other game, and when i am doing nothing but write aswell.. I have really tried everything.. Downgrading every driver, updating every driver, reinstalling windows, take out a few RAM to see if it was a heating problem. Updated bios.. Downgraded bios.. utility tool which helped my update all my drivers, and so on.. i cant think of anything that i havent done. I have also run a memtest, and a stress test for graphic card. which had no problems.

Then i found a post, on this site, explaning the exact same problem that i have right now. And he compressed windows error log, and posted to some guy who could tell him, what the problem was, and what game/program his computer was not competible with. But since that guy is banned, i cant really contact him. So i though i could open my own thread. Can someone please help me.. I am desperet

Thanks for the quick respons. But i have also had a program to mesure the temp running while i was playing games, to see if it was spiking high. But it sits around 60-65 degrees celsius. And yes my warranty is kaput. and last night i tried to take my laptop apparat using that video, but i accedently ruined one of the screws, so now i cant move past the point of taking out the back side, and i am only able to change the RAM.. (using a screwdriver which were to small, but i first realised to late)

I will try to change out the RAM, see if it helps.

PS. it might be a while befor i can aswere any futher because i live in denmark, and i have to go to school now. :)

If you can get hold of a Dremel try cutting a notch (slot) across the bad screw head. Otherwise a screw extractor (hardware store?). Regardless, if a RAM swap does not help, you might be screwed (sorry!)

So i have just tried reinstalling Windows completly. And indtaling one Update at a time, marketing sure it was the right once.. But still nothing. So now i am giving up.. I Will the Pro handle this.. Thanks for the help

When you reinstalled Windows, did you do a clean install (format the C: drive)...?

When you have found a fix or have more information, would you please add it to this post? Doing so may help others with similar problem. Hope your motherboard is not bad. Good luck.

Yes, i wiped the entier thing. But i Will make sure to gået an error log om what they find, så i Can give a possible solution !
