    Unhiding folders/Drives in recovery console

So i'm in recovery console, attempting to move all of my docs and personal files, but when i try to open C: to access the files, it just says C: is empty. So, after researching a little i discovered that the files etc may be set to "hidden".

But now, i can't un-set them to hidden. i right click C: and go to properties, and there's no option for it. i can't get to a "folder options" menu or anything.

in properties, it says there's stuff on the drive, and i also did a disk check and it says the disk is fine, so the drive is clearly fine, and my files are obviously there. so how can i get to/unhide my files?

I doubt they could be hidden in recovery console, even with infection by a virus that hides them in the OS.

Try one of the file rescue solutions in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.
