Computer wont boot windows after fresh install next day

So I reinstalled windows 7 on my laptop everything was fine restarted several times to install updates, drivers etc. But then the next day when I try to turn it on it simply does not get past the windows logo it just freezes restarts then ends up on launch repair. So the day I reinstall its fine but the next day wont boot. This has happened many times now, so i figured i would see if anyone else had any advice.

    thanks in advance

Hello. What is the make/model of your laptop?

Are you using a Windows setup disc that came with the laptop -- what is the source of the OS installation?

If the laptop is not new, you might try re-seating the memory module(s) by removing/ reinserting them several times. Same for any connectors you are able to reach (HDD, etc)... this is to help dislodge possible corrosion or other crud on the connections.

Start over and follow these steps for getting a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

This time wipe the HD first using Diskpart Clean Command accessing DISKPART At PC Startup.

I would also first test the HD using the HD maker's HD diagnostics extended scan, and RAM using memtest 86 all of which are on Hiren’s BootCD 15.1 or Hiren's BootCD From USB Flash Drive (Pen Drive) » www.hiren.info

    I scanned the hdd

    got this:

too many errors found - please contact technical support
    error status code: 0225

    Is there a remedy?

The error means the drive needs replacing. Run the test again to confirm it.

If the drive is still under warranty use WD Support / Warranty Services / End User / Product Replacement for End Users
