Computer getting automatically turned off

    Computer getting automatically turned off


    Hello,
    My computer is getting turned off automatically after sometime of use mainly when I am not using it, but sometimes while I am using it. I don't know why it is happening even I am not getting any other problems. Just it is like, I left my computer at no use for at least 10 minutes or more it get turned off automatically. Sometimes it also happen when I am using it and it turn off just like when I click on Power button to switch it off.
    I am just wishing that it doesn't happen while I am doing any important task.

    When I see something like this, the first thing I suspect is the power supply. Do you know which power supply you have? I mean, the make and the model.

    I don't remember that but I don't think that it is due to Power Supply, because it turn off just like when we turn off computer like we are shutting it off by pressing Power Button. I was thinking that it is CPU's Power button problem but if that can turn off than why not that is turning on. So, please help me.

    Are you saying that Windows is properly shutting down automatically?

    If it shuts down abruptly (like in a power outage), another thing to look up can be overheating, perhaps a failing cooler or dusted air vents prevent proper refrigeration.

    Great point Alejandro

    We need to know exactly what happens when it shuts off, do you get a blue screen just before it shuts off, etc.

    You could go into control panel/power options and set everything to never. Never sleep, never hibernate etc.

    After the shutdown when you restart it does it give you a screen giving you a selection on how you want to continue. Such as Normal boot, Safe boot, ect.?

    try to troubleshoot it first..alejandro maybe right,try to locate the fans,overheating is the 1st factor on your problem,how long your unit is?try to check the silicon paste on your processor maybe it dries out due to no proper maintenace...ope it helps...

    Okay, I'll try it. I have tried another power supplier but the problem is still here. Now let I see is it Processor's problem. Thanks
