No ethernet in "Network Conncetions" + no keyboard at desktop & bios

Hi guys!

First off, this is my first message on this forum so thanks for having me.
Second, the problem: there are three issues which might be linked to a same bigger issue so I combined all three here
- I have no local area network in my "network connections" located in the control panel. I used to have one but now it has disappeared. When I plug an ethernet cable in my computer, nothing happens in Windows. The light flashed on the mobo (yellow and orange) but that's it
- I have no keyboard in the bios therefore I cannot hit delete and access the bios to make any changes or check settings
- I have no keyboard or mouse once in Windows the 1st time I boot the computer. When I reset it, it then works fine

What should I do to correct this? For the ethernet port, I'm considering reinstalling Windows but for the missing keyboard in the bios, I don't see how this would solve the issue. Does it indicate a problem with the mobo? And if so, do you have suggestions for a good gaming mobo in the $150 range?

I've looked in the device manager but it doesn't even appear under the network adapters anymore. All I have is my wireless D-Link adapter and the Hamachi network interface. No LAN for some reason. Could it be not installed at all and I need to get myself the drivers of the mobo to correct this? It used to be so I really don't know why it's gone

Regarding the keyboard, I am currently using a wired keyboard via USB 2.0. I want to point out that it's both the keyboard and the mouse that are not working after that first boot. Not sure about the other USB elements of my setup, didn't really notice since I reboot right away.

Thank for the suggestion! However, my keyboard issue where it doesn't work during the booting of my computer (until the login screen where I input my password) stops me from accessing the BIOS menu as I cannot press delete or any button at all . Is there a reason why a keyboard would not work during the BIOS boot up and more importantly, how can that be corrected?

Sorry for thee slow response, but I have some great news: I solved my problem. It got worse before it got better as my computer boot up screwed up and then the BIOS required that I press enter to continue. But my USB keyboard did not work so that was out of the question

At that point, I left my computer sitting for a bit.

Then I had the idea of opening up the computer and removing the battery from the motherboard to reset it to factory defaults. And now, my keyboard works in BIOS and at 1st bootup to Windows. I'll have to check the Ethernet port but things are looking well.
