Delete many lines at once

Hi, how do I delete about 15 or 20 lines of type at once.I have Win 7 Thank You RJR

In what application?

Typically, you highlight whatever lines you wish to delete with the mouse then press the delete key on the keyboard.

This would have been in Word or in Firefox Thunderbird. Sorry for the mix up I am still in the newbie stage.
