    Exlamation mark


    Hi I have a compaq CQ61 laptop running windows 7 home premium.
    When I open Devices & Printers folder the laptop icon is on the very top right side it has an yellow exclamation mark on it.
    Does anyone know why this has developed this and how to fix please.

    Right-click a device or computer with the yellow warning icon , click Troubleshoot, wait while the troubleshooter tries to detect problems (this may take several minutes), and then follow the instructions.

    Hi,thanks for prompt reply.
    Did what you said and at the end of the process a box appeared with the following info

    USB DEVICE (VID_1f3a_PID_efe8) With a red cross and further text ''Has a driver problem''

    Have also done a system restore.

    Any further help Please.

    I found it on google that usb device item,It had something to do with android my wife has a gotab so uninstalled that item from device manager and all is well.

    Glad you got it sorted i did know it was a tablet that was causing the problem seems it can be fixed by using a 32 bit Driver

    Regarding your reply about the ''it can be fixed by using a 32 bit Driver''.
    next time she connects to the laptop how would I use the 32 bit driver??

    It was my son that used the 32 bit Driver at the moment he is abroad i have emailed him when i get his reply i will explain in depth how he solved the issue
