Windows 7: Explorer keeps hiding the last part of file extension

If i have any word document in a folder, i see the file with the extension .doc because I have unchecked the "hide extentions for know file types" option.
I do not have that unchecked. Maybe that is your problem?

I haven't tried the Reset Folders before, but I did with the Restore defaults.

Reset Folders worked. Solved.

Hiding HDD's in explorer?
Greetings, In Windows Explorer I have 2 HDD partitions (one for each HDD) that are listed in the file/folder tree. They are the "System Reserve" partitions that are 100mb each. I'm sure these partitions are required, and can't be deleted... I would like to just remove them from the tree.....
