Passwords are kind of a touchy subject here, I'm assuming you haven't made a password re-set disk? Please read our forum rules, especially number 6. https://www.sevenforums.com/general-d...ease-read.html

    Password Problem

Thank you for the message. No I did not create any rest disk.So How do I overcome it.Do you think there is a conflict between my name and the word Administrator. When I open the computer my name is written under which it asks for pasword.
When I type it says either name or password is FALSE
    Thanks again

I know this sounds kinda silly maybe....... but have you re-booted? I had something very very similar to your problem happen to me after Avast's last update. When the computer restarted it kept telling me that my password was incorrect. I've had the same password on my machine since I first got it, over a year ago. I must have tried 4 or 5 times, getting increasingly worried/frantic each time. After I did a hard shutdown, it worked like a charm. I really feel uncomfortable discussing passwords as we have very strict rules about that in here and I will not willingly do anything to jeopardize my standing here. There are other ways you can get into your machine, if a re-boot does not help and you are CERTAIN that the password you are typing in is correct. So all is not lost, but I would feel better if you maybe ... searched or Googled ..... the way(s). The information is out there. I'm sorry.

    Hi,
Good to hear from you. What is a hard shutdown?I tried to reboot with safemode and networking. But no element of reboot worked.I checked google and they came up with a Ophcrack.WhaI could not understand why it happened.A young guest at my place wanted to use my wifi.I entered the WIFI password on his mobile -IPOD-.I thought since I do not have any password for my computer maybe he can enter mine.So I created a new password. And that was the end of it.Any suggesstions. Thanks
