System freezes after connecting to network

    Hello,

I have windows 7 on HP dv7 and everything works fine if I do not connect to any network (either wireless or via cable). The moment computer connects to some network or internet I cannot run any programms. Desktop still works, but when I click on program icons, nothing happens.

Some programs that were running prior to connection still run but I cannot do a lot. So for example I can navigate via explorer to different folders, but when I try right click, nothing happens. The problem remains even if I disable network connection.

I tried scanning with different anti spyware programms, but nothing changed. Everything works normall in safe mode with networking.

I would gladly provide further information, I just don't know what is relevant and what is not.

    Thanks for all the help!

    Welcome to the Seven Forums.

Since things work normally in the safe mode - you need to find the program or service that is starting in the normal mode that is causing the issue. See if the info in this tutorial helps: Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
