    Icons missing in Start Menu

Had a SDD crash and now my malwarebytes icon is missing. Tried changing the icon but its still missing.
I even reinstalled the program after uninstalling it and nothing. Tried a system restore and I still cant get the icon.

Any tips or tricks that might work?

I moved it to accessories is when it vanished, now everything I did above cant restore the icon for some reason. Even did a reg clean reboot and its still missing.

    But where was it originally?

Also, why did you move it to Accessories? I haven't moved anything to Accessories myself so I don't know if the same thing would happen to me (so I don't want to take that risk right now).

Was it still in Accessories right after moving it there? I'm asking because you said that moving it to Accessories is the time when it vanished. Or did it only disappear when the SSD crashed.

Speaking of which, what do you mean when you say the SSD crashed? What happened?

after the ssd crashed the icon went missing, I would hate to have to reinstall windows over one missing icon. No way am I doing that I will just live with it, its just an eyesore not being able to set an icon.

Thanks for the support I was going to give up but kept doing trial and error, so I downloaded an icon just random from the googles. I set the icon to the downloaded one and it swapped, then I went back to change icon and used the default one and its back.

Windows is weird........... 2013 and it was never finished and Im not about to get that windows 8.

possible repairing the icon cache would have fixed it or even reinstalling malwarebytes would have fixed it.

    for future reference...
