    Black screen

When I leave the laptop alone screen goes black. Then when I touch my touchpad it comes back to normal again. What is this. How can I prevent the black thing not happen again?

That is normal. It is part of the Power settings.

If you want to change that - go to:
Start > Control > Power Options

It would really help us to help you if you would complete your system specs. In this case, if your system specs told me that this was a Toshiba laptop, I could warn you that Toshiba (and other companies) have their own software that controls the power options.

Go to control panel--Power options--on left side click 'Choose when to turn off display'--Change 'Turn off display after' setting to 'Never' for both AC and battery--Done

Check if you have your screen saver set to blank.

What's the make and model of your system? There must be some company's control center that's controlling the power settings as already said by usernameissues.

Yes as they said we would need more information. Could be a program that is with you graphics card, and the settings in there could need to be changed

Do the Sleep and Hibernate options work correctly in Power Options>Advanced Plan Settings>Sleep?

Enable Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) and install all Important and Optional Windows Updates.

If a newer Display driver isn't provided, check the Support Downloads webpage for your exact model to see if there is a newer or different one to try.
