    Icon Stuck

I have installed ccleaner and before it tracks eraser pro. After running either of them an icon gets stuck in the recently opened programs list in start menu and can't be removed by right clicking on it either. I haven't heard about this in ccleaner reviews people post ... so is this a windows 7 flaw or is it ccleaner?

    Hello dfs4,

Could you go ahead and post a screenshot showing this when you right click on it to see if it may help to ID what the issue may be? :)

For now, turning off and on Recent Programs should clear them in the Start Menu.

Turning Recent Programs on or off doesn't work. The icon is still stuck.

And for screenshot? you want me to post a screenshot of right click on the program?

Yeah, a screenshot of it with it's right click showing from the Start Menu.

In addition, go ahead and turn off and on recent items as well to clear them.

What happens when you click on Remove from this list?

It should remove it, but the next time you open the program it will be added back since you just "recently" opened the program. To prevent this you will need to keep Recent Programs turned off.

In Start menu Properties > Customize button you can also set the Recent Programs count to Zero.

Start Menu - Change Number of Recent Programs to Display
