Getting corrupted or broken files when trying to make big downloads

I have recently downloaded Cyberlink's Powerdirector which, complete, contains more than 2G of software. I have attempted to make downloads MANY times with errors like "download corrupted" or "broken". I was, eventually, successful in downloading it. But I have no idea how.
I have also been trying to update the software lately, but I am getting an error saying "MD5 check failed". That file was more than 400MB.

I also maintain the website: Learn Brazilian Portuguese | Learning Portuguese Brazilian | Learning Portuguese Phrases and I am needing to download my site's content and files for backup, but, once again, getting error messages. The file for this is 512MB. I am have been trying to use free download manager, but it keeps failing with connection time outs. It stops at different intervals most everytime. I have tried using free download manager without a proxy.

Are you connected via LAN cable or wifi to your router? If wifi, then try using LAN or vice versa. Your ISP could also be the problem.

Do a malware scan with a good antivirus and MalwareBytes: Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware download

Also try downloading without download manager.

It is a wireless connection, and how do I connect to the internet via LAN? you are talking about me running cable from my computer to the modem in order to connect to the net via wi-fi?
Also, I have tried downloading without free download manager, that's why I got it in the first place

Win7 doesn't have many problems with downloading, so it makes your connection suspect. But if you're using a lot of bloated crapware like Cyberlink then you might have other corruption.

I'd also work through the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 establishing a Clean boot, checking for infection with malwarebytes, a full AV scan and SUPERAntiSpyware - Downloads to rid of Browser spyware add-ons, then check System files, logs, system resources.

Make sure as well you have a perfect install by comparing to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Yes, hook up a LAN cable. Don't involve wifi. Sometimes Wifi signals suffer interference due to mixing of channels with other Wifi signals.

Yeah, well thats going to be a problem then because that's our internet - wi-fi. We live in Brazil and in this area they only have wi-fi or dialup. So, are there any options for this?
btw... I tried downloading to a different computer here on the network and it too did no successfully download. I have attached a screenshot of the error from 7zip.

Contact your ISP which should provide Support for the connection. It's possible they may have download limits.

Well, that kinda confirms that your connection is not stable. Do other guys on the same network have this same problem too?

The "source" you're downloading it from, could also be the problem. Can you download from Amazon? Amazon.com: CyberLink PowerDirector 10 Deluxe: Software

Just have the two computers on our home network and both computers experience the same issues.
