worth buying window 7?

Right now i am running vista on my computer but I have been wondering if it is even worth buying windows 7? Should i upgrade to 7 or just wait for now till they have worked some of the bugs out of it? I would like some opinions thanks

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I think it really depends. I really am happy with Windows 7 and I just built a machine in July and Windows 7 64-bit is exactly what I planned to put on it.

My wife has an HP laptop with Vista Home Premium 32-bit on it, and it's running perfectly fine. No problems, good performance and we have the super easy system restore utility from HP to snap back in the event that a major problem comes up. I simply see no reason to spend any money to move this from Vista to 7 on this machine. Therefore, this one is staying as Vista.

But the real question is if a $119 retail upgrade or $199 retail full install going to impress him enough to justify the cost? That's my issue. I absolutely love Windows 7 and will run it without question on my new build that needed an OS....but I cannot justify $119 to move my wife's laptop to Windows just wouldn't be worth the $119.

If you are happy with Vista, you should stay with Vista unless you can get windows 7 professional or ultimate for under £30.

If you are going to have to pay more than that, then dont bother.

Well, it's hard to argue that it isn't worth $30. I'd buy it in a heartbeat for $30. Worst case scenario, you try it, don't like can resell it and get at least your $30 back.
