Windows 7 is in a boot loop and I can't launch startup repair

The universal extractor is a portable app. Just launch the exe and choose the setup.exe and for the destination choose a folder and click Ok. It should then extract the files to that folder

Can I do this on the computer I'm installing windows on?

No you will need to use another PC put the drivers inside a flash drive plug in the flash drive on the computer that is asking for the drivers .

that command should extract the .exe file for the .inf file needed to install the driver

Click Yes to the installer . It won't install the driver just extract the files

Change name of the .exe file if different

This is what happened before.

X:\sources???? You are doing it from win7 recovery environment! Do it in working win7

I am having him extract it on another PC . His windows 7 machine asks for drivers when he wants to install.

If Acer Support: Restoring a system to factory load will not run from boot, then you need to either order your Recovery disks from Acer or get the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 with the latest official disk or flash stick installer provided in Step 1.

If you are still trying to repair Win7 follow these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start using the latest official installer DVD or flash stick provided in Step 6. All repair commands are automated in Startup Repair so I'd confirm the Active partition and then run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times with reboots no matter what it reports.

I'm probably sticking with a clean reinstall instead, VistaKing already gave me the link to the iso's for windows 7 and it's booting on startup repair, for some reason though it's booting slower than usual.
