Bizarre errors trying to format 1Tb drive FAT32

    It's not the hard drive giving the requirement, but the device trying to read the drive. I'd prefer to use NTFS as well, but it sounds like the DVR needs a more universal format.

    I went off FAT32 because of the filesize limit, so I downloaded a Linux Live CD, booted it on my Proliant Microserver and formatted the drive EXT3.

    I don't care what format the drive is, as long as the FOXSAT HDR accepts it. It did, and I'm now sorted.
