    Full screen cursor?

I'm not sure if this a Win7 issue or browser specific (Opera and Firefox were open at the time), but earlier today on my laptop the screen suddenly went slightly dark as if a lightbox was coming up, and there was what looked like full screen crosshairs. They followed the mouse, and I couldn't close any windows, alt+tab to other windows, bring up my auto-hide taskbar...nothing! I clicked and poked and prodded until finally a little dialog thing popped up with three icons, one of which was an x. So I clicked it, and everything went back to normal.

A quick Google told me that this was apparently a "full screen cursor"? But the only thing I could find that triggers it is a small app that needs to be installed, and I've never done that. I recently reinstalled 7 on a new HDD, so it's nothing old from my past.

But is there a Windows hotkey combo that I might've hit by mistake to make this happen?

Got me stumped anyway. Never heard of a "full screen cursor" before. Only thing I can find on it/about it says its with an auto-cad program. I'm assuming you don't have a program of that sort on your machine? Looked half-heartedly some yesterday on this, will look around a little more today.
