Organize windows library

Hello to all.I have a laptop running windows 7 home premium.
What I would like to do if possible is to change the way the libraries are organizes,When I click on start then select my documents then on the left hand side you have all the icons pictures music video and the drives of the machine.
Is it possible to have just the icons showing rather than icons and all the text beside them,Therefore giving more space on the screen.
Would that be possible??

I'm not sure that's possible, but you could drag the right border of the navigation pane more to the left to give more space to the main window if you like. :)

it is possible to turn OFF the navigation pane, but thats not really what you were after,but it can be switched back on easily enough though.
