Simple file/folder manager?

First off, a little background. I own a VW with the Premium 8 touchscreen radio. It has a media input which supports USB or SD cards. The interface is very slow, and clunky. Those who might own one know what I mean. What I've done to speed up browsing is manually created 26 folders named A thru Z, and I manually put each band in the corresponding folder, and playlists have their own folder.

I was wondering if there is a simple tool that has the ability to put artists in the corresponding folder as I add them to the library as opposed to putting them in the root of the card. For example If the band or artist starts with "A" it would automatically place it in the "A" folder.. I would also like to be able to create playlist folders that I could drag and drop songs into. Essentially I'm looking for an environment like iTunes or Winamp.

Another simpler option would be to have my "A"-"Z" folders in a pane on the left, and my music library in a pane on the right that I could drag songs, entire albums, or the entire artist collection. Again in an iTunes/Winamp like environment.

I hope I'm making sense here..

Okay.. Now I feel like an idiot.. I opened my music folder and opened the drive in the left pane and it does primarily what I want.. Now wondering if there is some sort of toggle in windows that will display all the albums and tracks in the band subfolders?
