Backup your registry. Just do a restore point. Then Open up Regedit by typing Regedit in the Run Box. At the top click on edit then Find and type in IDM. Click on Find and when it finds the next entry, click on delete, then F3 and continue this until all keys are removed. Restart your machine and you should be rid of it.

    Please download AdwCleaner:
    http://general-changelog-team.fr/fr/downloads/finish/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner
    Save to the desktop.

    Close all open programs.
To run the program, right-click AdwCleaner.exe and select: Run as Administrator

Click on Search and confirm the prompt.
After the program finishes, a text file report opens.
Please post the content of the C:\AdwCleaner[Rx].txt in your reply.

You may have got it bundled with a c|net download. http://download.cnet.com/Internet-Do...-10071618.html

    Hello Pearl,

In addition, you might also check your startup programs to see if IDM is listed. If so, you could disable it to stop it from running at startup.

    Hope this helps, :)
