shortcut when i copy on a drive

please any time I copy files onto a usb drive, it turns into shortcuts. but i dont see shortcuts on my HDD. can any help?

What steps are you taking to make the file copy?

the usual send to. its becoming a problem among my peers.

Your USB drive is most probably infected with the shortcut virus.( I guess.:))

Run and explore it in WinRAR, and post a screenshot of the contents of your USB drive in WinRAR.



You may download 32bit or 64bit version (as per your system) from WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files

just as a test, try:
right click copy
select drive from within Windows (file) Explorer
right click paste
