shortcuts
Whenever I try to create a new shortcut and then try to use it, I get "Application not found". Some of my old shortcuts still work, but even some of them say the same thing. How do do I make a shortcut that will work?

I click on the desktop, choose "New", and type the address in the box. The shortcut then shows on the desktop just fine, but when I click on it, it says "Application not found". This just started about a week ago. I really can't remember if there were any new programs that were installed. I have had Windows 7 since Jan1, 2013. I have made Many shortcuts in the past, so this is really frustrating. The thing is...some of my existing shortcuts are reacting the same way!
That's interesting...because some of them open just fine and others say "Unable to open this Internet Shortcut. The protocol "http" does not have a registered program." Does this mean I need to reinstall those programs?
No, I don't think so. Can you provide a screen capture image to show what is in the Target field for the shortcut? For what application/program are you trying to create the shortcut for?
I don't know how to capture an image with this keyboard...but I use Big Fish Games every day and just lately the shortcut won't work. My Start Menu says there isn't a program...when I go to the web to open the page it opens with all my personal info on it like it would if I had a shortcut...
I'll tell ya...this howsewife is going nuts!
Some of the others do the same..just not all of them......
Use the Windows Snipping Tool to capture the image, the follow this:

Hi KG, Golden might be busy elsewhere.
Now, don't quote me on this, but it sounds like he would like to see an image of the Path you are inputing for your shortcut.
When you open the wizard it asks if you want to browse to the location or path for your shortcut, when you find it you click on it and it appears in the "location" box in the wizard.
Take a snip of that before you click next to name your shortcut.
