    Tom

The error 24 is a time service error. Is the date and time correct on the computer?

the 8003 is more serious. Its a master browser unexpectedly quit. thats something we can work on later but not the cause.

To save your typing fingers you can just give me the event ID= and the source code=. Just trying to make it easier on you. Keep looking. If nec we can start taking screenshots of them.\

The event viewer is a log of almost everything that happens on your computer. You are going to become familiar with it. One way to help diax it is whenever you have the problem go into event viewer immediately after and see what just happened.

Try a download and when it fails cdheck event viewer.

I just wanted to say thanks for the welcome. Sorry about not posting the System specs yet, I posted from work and didn't have the time. I did an upgrade install and now when I bring up System Information there's no info showing up. I'm going to go ahead and do a clean install and I'll post back any info I get.

The second error (the Master Browser) isn't really an error that you should be concerned with. This error happens on networks where you use hibernation/sleep on some of the systems.

What happens is that that sleeping computer goes to sleep thinking it's the Master Browser. While it's sleeping another computer assumes the duties as the Master Browser. Then the sleeping computer wakes up (and still assumes it's the Master Browser) and generates the conflict.

The 2 computers then get together and fight it out for the Master Browser title. Only one can win, so the other loses and generates an error. After that everything is fine and life goes on without errors.

The only time that this should be a problem for you is if the error is repeated constantly (and independently of any sleep/hibernation) - that would indicate that there's a problem that needs looking into.

The "not a valid 32 bit" error is because the file download isn't finishing. when this happens there is usually 2 files with the same name like phohoshop.zip photoshop.zip.part1

when the download finishes they are combined

Yes it will. It's easy to back up your data, just copy files, music, pictures, etc, to a thumb drive or put it on another partition. You'll have to install your applications and hardware drivers again, but it's really not that difficult. With the issues you have, I think a clean install is the best way to fix everything.
