    Good job!

Download CKScanner by askey127 from HERE
Important - Save it to your desktop.
Doubleclick CKScanner.exe and click Search For Files.
After a very short time, when the cursor hourglass disappears, click Save List To File.
A message box will verify the file saved.
Double-click the CKFiles.txt icon on your desktop and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.

    Uninstall Combofix ...
    • Click on the Start button and then select Run from the menu.
    • Now type ComboFix /Uninstall in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the /, it needs to be there.

If everything is going good, then set a new, clean restore point. If not, let me know.

I did uninstall AVG, I don't understand how it got there is the first place, I am not familiar with it and to my knowledge did not install it.

Now back to current, interesting development, when i tried to uninstall ComboFix it ran the scan instead, I am not able to find the program with a 'standard' method of control panel programs to attempt uninstall in that manner.

Also while I am relieved that the computer is virus free I still have the issue of not being able to make a new folder on the computer and in addition after all this effort now the CD drives are 'cross connected' in that they do not respond to the correct drive to open clse, etc and will not read a disk in them. Something is still not right.
