How do I automatically log on to my new computer?

On my old computer I did not need to type a password in order to log on; I need to use a password on my new computer. At the command prompt I typed netplwiz to open User Accounts and I removed the check in this box - "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer." I applied this change but I still have to enter my password.

There's an "Automatically Log On" form but I can't find it.

Get rid of your password. Why do you have one ?

If it`s your personal home pc, I see no reason to have one.

I believe changing User Password methods can only be done while using the admin account.

In Control Panel>User Accounts>Remove Password. You may need to enter the Admin password to achieve this.

Then be sure there is no Screen Saver (not needed since CRT monitors) set in Control Panel>Personalize.

If this is the original factory preinstall I would consider doing the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to get the best possible performance from Win7 and set it up exactly the way you want.
