Setting Up Wireless Network on Windows 7

When setting up the wireless network in Windows 7 it requests you to put in an 8 digit PIN number that is supposed to be on the router. I have a Trendnet TEW-432BRP router and can't find the number to put into the input box on the windows 7 install.

    Any ideas?

I can manually connect the router to the internet but I want it to automatically be set up so that it connects every time I boot Windows 7.

Hi John! In your browser write in 192.168.1.1. If theres an option for Configuration Pages, click on that. If it asks you for a username and password they're most likely to be

    USERNAME: Admin
    PASSWORD: Admin

Look for a system information setting. In that information there should be something about a WEP or a WPA key. It should tell you the key there.

Sorry if these aren't tailored to your router. I have an Inventel.

    Thanks,
    ZeshanA
If I helped, please rep me.

    TRENDNET Router Model TEW-432BRP H/W W: v.D1.OR

    Hi Rich,

After I posted here I called TRENDNET and a very knowledgeable person helped me with setting up my router on the network on my new HP8710W Laptop.

Also, I was having some issues with the TRENDNET Wireless router dropping out all the time on my desktop machine. If i unplugged the router and waited a few seconds and then replugged it in it would work fine. Just kind of a REAL PAIN doing this several times a day. It would always take a few minutes for the reboot. They referred me to their website where I downloaded the most current firmware. Hopefully that will cure that issue also.

Today my experience with TRENDNET Technical support was an excellent one.

Their Phone number here is the USA is 1-866-845-3673

Thanks very much for your thoughtfulness in answering my inquiry.
