    What did I do?

I have no idea what i did but i got these truecrypt symbols over all my shortcut icons on my desktop. The other files seem fine. Just the shortcuts, they work fine so far so im not sure what caused it.

you need to go into preferences or personalization and fix your icons seems you have accidently made that icon appear all icons for most of your programs that would be the best way to fix it

Now when you hit change icon you should see this and the one that is taking over as well

I did what solarstar said and went into the personalize settings -> desktop icons. I didn't see anything in there about shortcuts or any icons that looked messed up so i closed it. Still was the same so i went back in and checked the users files icon which puts a folder that goes your documents and settings on the desktop. Doing that changed the icons back. I don't know why or how but it did lol. Well problem i guess solved?

Right click the icon and select properties. Click on the customize tab and change icon at the bottom.

Yeah that part is taken care of. I'm just curious what caused it or what that icon even means.

I have it installed for a few years now. I have no idea why today of days it did what it did. Btw does anyone know what the icons actually mean? It didn't change the icons to the truecrypt icon. As you can see it overlayed some mini truecrypt icon over it but with a green arrow. I have no idea what it mean or does.
