Windows 7 and Bios does not detect my drives

    Hello,
Lately, my computer has been crashing a lot and a few BSODs have occurred. So I decided to open my computer up and give it a clean. I also took the RAM out and cleaned it and slotted it back to its original position. However, I now have a much larger problem. Whenever, I turn on the computer it tells me to "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot device in selected media and press any key". I put in my Windows 7 installation CD, but no drives are detected. I also checked my BIOS and no SATA drives are detected.

    Please help!

    Hi,

Check that the power cable and SATA cable are firmly connected between the motherboard and hard disk - you have knocked them loose when checking the RAM chips.
