Moved my documents to F drive, now I cannot access Recycle Bin

Okay- I'm going to try to explain my problem as cohesively as possible, but it's kind of hard to explain considering I think that I've screwed myself over pretty badly.

My C Drive is almost completely full. In an attempt to free up some space, I moved my "My Documents" folder over to my F drive (I was planning on moving them to the F drive, and then deleting the files from my C drive, thus giving me space). The only problem is that I no longer have a recycle bin, so I can't delete the "My Documents" that was in my C drive- so now I still have no memory in my C drive and can't access my recycle bin to solve this issue.

I tried system restore, but of course that doesn't affect your documents in any way. Hopefully this all makes sense.

    Help is heavily appreciated.

Hello RedfangOC, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If your "My Documents" folder was moved over to the F: drive successfully like in the tutorial below, then the files in the folder should have also been moved from C: to F: with nothing left of the "My Documents" folder on C.

User Folders - Change Default Location

Could you give more details about no longer having a Recycle Bin? Was it on the desktop, and now not there???
Hope this helps for now, :)

Well, I still have a "My Documents" folder in C:, but only a handfull of personally created folders are there (I don't know why they weren't sent to the recycle bin as well).

As for the recycle bin, I probably should have mentioned that I was using rainmeter. If you don't know what rainmeter is, it basically just lets you customize your desktop using widgets and things like that. Well- my recycle bin was linked to rainmeter somehow, and rainmeter was moved to the F: Drive. When I search for Recycle Bin in my search bar, nothing comes up. When I try to restore the icon using the personalize>change desktop icons procedure, I can't access it.

Like I said, it's really hard to explain because I don't know exactly what I've done. I just wanted to free up some space without upgrading my hard-drive

See if you may be able to restore "My Documents" back to the C: drive using OPTION TWO in the tutorial below.
Afterwards, you might consider this below to be able to access the files from your libraries with the files actually located where you like instead. This way the files are saved on F, and accessible in a library without having to mess with user folder locations.

It didn't work- but it very well could be me doing something wrong. Actually, it most likely is- so I'll fiddle with it a little more. If I can't restore it, I'll just clean up un-needed files by bypassing the recycle bin from now on AND I'LL MAKE SURE THAT THEY SHOULD BE DELETED FIRST!

I'll try to set up a library on my F: Drive so that I can put off buying a new hard-drive a little longer.

Thanks so much for your speedy help!

I have a question: If you rightclick Documents and select Properties, where does it show the folder is located on the Location tab?

If it's anywhere else than C: then what exactly happens when following the steps in Brink's tutorial Option One? User Folders - Restore Default Location - Windows 7 Forums

If there is no Location tab it requires Option Two which also always works.

Rainmeter stores its skin files in the Documents folder (default setting).
When you moved your Documents folder to F, the Rainmeter skin files went with it.
