Usage of RAM while installing programs/games

    Hi.

Im using Windows 7 now for a while. I was reading on another forums reports by multiple users about abnormal usage of RAM (100% usage) while installing games or programs and it causes stalling while CPU usage is near 0%. I also asked these question on another forum and didnt get anwser. I was wondering why, because I didnt notice that behaviour on my computer never before. But yesterday when I was installing a game I noticed just that. The installation proces was very slow, RAM usage was 100%, CPU at zero. So I suspect a update of a kind or something similar is cousing this problem.

Can you help me findig and solving this problem?

    My system:
Windows 7 RTM (other users that reported teh problem are using different build and have same problems)
    Q6600
    4GB RAM DDR II
    RAID 0 2x SSD 128GB
    NOD32 v.4

    Thank you. :)

    ps.
Pardon my writing in English becouse I`m from Slovenia (Europe) and I don`t use dictionary.

What game? Sounds all very strange and suspicious. Running 32 bit or 64 bit?

I`m using 64bit OS. I was installing FIFA 2010. The thing is that others are also reporting about these "bug" and are installing different programs/games.
BTW I installed Windows 7 (7600;7323 before) again yesterday because of a disk change and I didnt notice these problem. I also didn`t notice such problem with any fresh installed Windows 7 so I can exclude build error.

Running an anti-virus at the time of installation? I've noticed though out most of the problem we are seeing (esp., growing RAM usage) was because of the anti-virus.

Don't need to be scanning...I'm sure it has a real time scanner and what not.

I agree but it was installed before I installed programs and games and didn`t cause problems. I don`t have this problem at a moment but am eager to find out what is causing it.

I think there is some misunderstanding going on.

Have you checked the Processes tab of Task Manager to find out where the RAM is going?

No I didn`t. I will try that the next time I stumble on this issue.
