Windows Fax and Scans Will Not

I have the 64bit RC installed. When I try to run Windows Fax and Scan, I get the following message:

"Windows Fax and Scan cannot run as it cannot access your
documents folder. Please ensure Windows Fax and Scan can access that folder."

I would be happy to ensure that it could access that folder but haven't a clue how to do it.

My documents folder is on D:, separate from my system drive C:

Would someone please give me hand in fixing this problem?

    Thank you very much.

How did you move your documents? Did you just copy and paste, or did you right click on the documents icon, select the location tab, and select move?

    Thank you.

I really didn't move them. I hae always kept "My Documents" on D: since my first use of Windows years ago. I access them via a short cut on my Desktop or by opening D: in windows explorer.

Sorry I didn't make that clear in my post.

    Thanks again.

If you didn't right click -> properties -> location -> move, then that could be part of the problem. I keep my documents in the standard location, but to test things I moved it and opened Windows Fax without any problems.

Go ahead and right click...move, and see where Windows thinks things are located. Move it back to the default location (Windows will move all the files) and see if the Fax starts working. Then, move it back and see if that fixes things.

I decided to go back a few restore points and the first I tried cleared up the problem. I don't think I moved the 'documents' anywhere but who knows -- maybe I did.

    Thanks for your help.
