Removing Registry entries confusion (couldn't think of a better title)
If I dig into the registry & remove anentry from the startup folder there, will this remove the entire program from my pc or just remove the entry from sys configs startup folder ??? Wasn't sure which part of the forum for this post. So,please forgive if this is posted in the wrong section.I'm trying to remove something (task manager) that I placed in the startup folder earlier today. But,I want to do it properly.I found some instructions for how to do so from the windows registry BUT...I need to know if I were to do this this way,if the program would still be available to me on my pc where I used to access it from. I don't want to remove the program from my pc (which is what I'm afraid of while doing this from the registry). All I want to do is stop this program from starting up when windows starts up and remove the entry in sys.configs startup folder. So,if I dig into the registry & remove this entry from the startup folder there, will this remove the entire program from my pc or just remove the entry from sys configs startup folder ??? Thanks for any help.
