    Speeding the machine up!

    Hello to all,

How to speed up a Windows machine (say, seven or XP), considering following two issues?

1- Without using non Windows built-in tools.
    2- Without manipulating the Registry.

    Thanks.

    Use an SSD

    Use more RAM

Disable Startup items except for the most essential like the AV

Disable services that are not required for the setup you are using

Well these are least you can do without using any software or inbuilt tools

I don't want a solution for a specific machine. It should be usable for any machine (seven, XP).
And my purpose was not to speeding the machine up by increasing the capacity of hardware devices, for example RAM!

Without using non Windows built-in tools
You mentioned... non Windows built in tools.... now.. its either Built in tools or Third party software... Don't know what you meant

If no hardware.. then these are the very basic you can do

Disable Startup items except for the most essential like the AV

Disable services that are not required for the setup you are using
If this is not what you meant... Then its better you talk to a Magician !!! probably he can help you with speeding up your system... without doing anything...

    -Remove unused programs
    -Install and run antispyware software
-Free up wasted space with Disk Cleanup tool
    -Defragment your hard disk drive
    -Disconnect unused network connections:
-Stop Unwanted startup programs by following...

Start > Run > write msconfig > press ENTER > Click on StartUp tab
Deselect the programs you want to stop
