    Command Prompt Error on Windows 7


    Hello guys,
    I have problem with CMD
    When I run Windows error reporting window appears and error message appears:
    The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application

    Please reply.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums.

    Please consider editing your post and use the normal size font. Those that have trouble seeing normal fonts should have already increased to magnification on their end. Doing so makes your post with large fonts almost unreadable.

    Some suggest that you should run the scan that Dude linked to 3 or 4 times, rebooting between each run.

    Are you entering command prompt from windows, or did you follow these steps using your windows 7 disc?

    Let's get started!

    In the BIOS set the boot order to boot first from the CD/DVD Drive, insert the Windows full version installation DVD or a created repair CD and restart the PC.
    Did you insert the disc and boot to the cd?
