USUALLY is correct. In some cases, like mine, disabling the pagefile and just using memory had no system performance degradation. Because I have an Intel SSD as the system drive, I needed to save the 4GB that the page file would take up. So after disabling it, I basically had observed no system changes other than the fact that after using for a while, RAM runs up to about 3GB where it would normally only be about 1GB. In your case, with 16GB of RAM and unless you're editing HD Video files or other intensive stuff of the same nature, disabling those 2 files will be fine.

Pagefile on SSD? 4 GB is more than enough.

Understand. Given the SSD that will work. Which Intel do you have - the X25M? How do you like it. I have an OCZ Vertex 60GB and was considering the X25M for my one of my other systems.

Some programs may still require a page file to operate properly, no matter how much RAM is installed. It may be something to keep an eye on if you run across a program that does not run properly or has memory errors.

Right, I've not done anything intensive on this build. I'm going to be using it to edit video and pics when 7's retail disc is here. So I'm thinking of putting another 4GB RAM on, and/or putting the pagefile on another drive. Intel X-25M, G2.
