Can't restart my computer, 'Repair' loop.

This is the message I get after I get the 'repair' screen, after I try to start my desktop (windows 7 home premium 64bit). Note I have tried to repair my computer, but it does not work. It's an endless loop, and there is nothing I can do about it.

    Problem Signature: StartupRepairOffline
    Problem Signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385
    Problem Signature 02: 6.1.7600.16385
    Problem Signature 03: Unknown
    Problem Signature 04: 2120027
    Problem Signature 05: AutoFailover
    Problem Signature 06: 6
    Problem Signature 07: BadPatch
    Os-version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
    Id: 1044

I think I know what the problem is, because of the 'BadPatch' part. Because I accidentally hit the 'off' button on my computer when I was turning my computer off last night, and (even though I did not see it) I think it was about to start a windows update as I turned my computer off.
I have tried to run in 'safe mode', but that did not work.. I have also tried to remove all USB's etc, but I reckon that is not the problem. It's the fact that I can't run windows because it's not patched. And then there is no way I can dl the patch without actually being online on my computer, which I can't start up.
So, when I turn on my computer I get the option screen where I can choose between normal star up and repair. After clicking repair It tries to repair, but fails. If I click the normal start up I geta quick blue screen (to quick for me to tell what it says), then takes me to the repair screen.

I hope someone here can help me, considering I need my computer for work.

    Thanks in advance. - Louie

I'm having nearly the same issue and maybe they will help us both. Except for me it did the repairs but after every restart something else would fail, then repair, then restart and so on.

At the Windows Repair screen (aka the PE boot menu), open a command prompt and with a Windows install disc inserted run the command SFC /scannow and see if that finds any errors and fixes them. Then try booting again.

you should try booting to safe mode by pressing f8 repeatedly when turning on the pc. when presented with the advanced boot option, there are some actions that might do the trick. one, safe mode with networking. with this, you can enter safe mode with internet connection enabled n re-download the windows patch which wasn't downloaded properly the last time. or, second choice is, doing system restore to the time before accidentally pressing the off button and/or starting the windows update. third choice is just simply the use last saved good configuration. hope this will do.

Thank you for replying, but I have already tried to run the safe mode with no success. I also have no way to start a system restore, since my computer is not that old. Of course I should save my system regurarly.. I will try your suggestions again anyways. Thank you.

you're welcome, if somehow safe mode isn't successful, you can also try going to BIOS n reset all configuration to default. a deeper analyzes can be done if you have a bootable disc which contain system maintenance n utilities. this will likely to succeed as you don't need to access the troubled OS to do the repair. maybe one of your colleagues have it.

When Windows Updates fail for any reason, boot into System Recovery Options
to run System Restore to the point set for those Updates, or just before them.

Make sure you have System Restore turned on: System Protection - Change Disk Space Usage
