    help with my text turned into boxes...


    hi my english text has turned into boxes instead.. never seen this before. can anyone tell me how to fix it. already looked in regional settings and it's set to English (UK). See screenshot. Thanks

    I have never run into that before either.
    Have you tried another browser, Firefox, I.E.?
    Does this happen with other programs?

    yes it happens in a lot of things... its not just a browser problem. when i click start and type in run it comes up the same.. some windows text is like that too. boxes instead to text

    Don't know whether it's related but Kaspersky 2013 is reported to be turned off in security centre. even though it is fully operational and on-line. clicking turn on in security centre does nothing.

    safe mode same problem?
    clean boot Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup same problem? (revert back to normal boot afterwards)

    Fixed it.
    I Changed My System Locale to US and restarted.
    Then changed back to UK and was solved..

Text drops out of dialog boxes

For some reason, the text is not showing up in the dialog boxes, which makes it impossible to download software unless you have a VERY good memory about where the "Next" button is.
