    CD-ROM/DVD Drive won't work


    don't know a lot about computers so i need help! i tried putting in several disks and none of them worked so i googled it and found a site that told me to look into the device manager and under DVD/CD-ROM Drives my device's status was, "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)". I don't really know what this means, does it mean i have to get someone around to fix it or is it something i can do myself?

    The Code 19, repair requires editing the Registry. If you are not comfortable doing this, have a PC Tech fix it for you.

My dvd drive won't work?

i have a TS-L633A SCSI dvd drive. when i insert a cd or dvd its won't read it. it will eject it and say to insert a cd. what is the problem. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, i have tried removing the upper and lower filters. what is the problem?
Does anyone have a suggestion on making the A: work in the XP VM window work? The A: drive works fine in Win7, but the XP VM window it does not work. it is a USB type floppy drive. found some interesting things.. the A: drive can be seen from the XP VM on the network looking A on W7...
