    strange freeze-ups and bsods

A little while after my fresh install and driver installations, my computer has started to completely freeze up randomly. It happens after it has been running for a while. It doesn't seem to have much of a pattern, because I've played games like Crysis 2 for hours and nothing happened, and then ill be browsing for maybe an hour and itll do it. Sometimes the freezes are intermittent, but sometimes the computer completely freezes (the num lock key does not work, if this helps determine the kind of freeze).

    Some other things to note,

    1) I have woken up a few times, turned on my computer and it comes out of a hibernation mode with a BSOD error. I have since disabled hibernation mode so I do not know if this error is fixed or related.

    2) I have two temperature monitors on my physical computer, one on the motherboard that displays around 50 degrees c and another EVGA voltage controller on the front panel that displays 50 c. This temp is not normal as I have an intel i7 sandy bridge at stock clock with a thermaltake frio at full blast. However, Core temp says my temperature idles around 35 c. This may not be related.

    3) I have installed most drivers. I flashed my bios to the new bios. I updated the most recent firmware on my ssd. I used the SMART setting, nothing was ever displayed. I ran windows memory diagnostic, no errors came up though I never got a log out of it.

    4) I've checked device manager, I fixed one unknown device but uninstalled the three other problematic devices. I couldn't find the drivers despite looking up the vendor IDs.

I don't know what to do from here. If I've made it difficult to diagnose my issue by not explaining properly or providing sufficient info like my specs, I apologize. I would greatly appreciate any help and I will provide any information if asked.

    Thank you,

    Jonathan

Work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Win7 especially the hardware tests, Clean Boot, utilize System Resources given to find and fix problems.

I installed HW monitor. It's showing my CPU temps at 60 celsius. I'm starting to get worried now.
