Well, I did a google search the day I saw this thread...Don't remember the source... It is fake, I did a full setup. Well, my download at least.
But let me ask you, why would every "new" build screenshots have a logo covering the build watermark???

Unless I see it setup (with screenshots) from a sevenforums member, I'm not downloading anything roumored again

Did you right click the setup and check file versions? Sometimes this is overlooked and can point to a fake unless the faker is really good and changed it. Even so there are ways you can tell. it would be interesting to see this build even if it is to verify it.

The torrent you downloaded would of been fake yes! The file has not been leaked as far as i know, but im very sure these shots are real, the pcbeta logo is only over the build number in some shots, you can clearly see it in others and the new rc1 ie running etc....

You were foolish for downloading that torrent without confirmation from others on the torrent site and wasted your own time.

Nowhere in my post did i suggest the file was out there or had been leaked, the screenshots have been leaked nothing else.

I'm sorry but that does not prove a thing, all that proves is they know how to use Photoshop.

What about the shots of the new ie running inside win7?? And the media player version numbers..

Yeah anyone could do all this in photoshop but just cos someone uploaded a fake torrent it does NOT mean this build is fake, i trust the source as its where i got the link for 7000 ages before others and all shots from pcbeta have proven to be real as far as i know in the past.

Prove its not real then.. you can't, just like i can't prove it is.. yet...

This is the screen shots they said were build 7012, have a look at build number in the corner and tell me they are not full of it.

That has nothing to do with these shots.

    And the source is different...

I honestly trust the source as when 7000 shots of it being downloaded in namipan where shown, then just a few days later here is me downloading it with their link from the same place:

Shots were real before, so why would i doubt them now....

    Hi Win 7,

Thanks for posting those - let's more people see them.

There's no way of knowing if they are real or not.

We do know there are some build numbers up around that level, so there's a fair chance screenshots would surface.

If I remember correctly, it was pcbeta that pulled some screenshots, allegedly of 7014 build, on the basis there was no d/l to back them up. It may have lost something in the translation, but I think that was the general idea.

Limneos wasn't saying the shots are fake - just the the particular d/l he tried.

Will be interesting to see any further developments.

The torrent download is fake yes i have since downloaded but myself or anyone could upload a similar fake and it does not reflect on these shots. There were fake of 7000 also after the shots were shown and people showed interest, people do it cos it generates lots of traffic thats all.

If you want a good source to get your info from you should check out My Digital Life, that's where most of the builds were seen first and they always had a direct download link.
