    Experience Index. Low HD result

Hi, i have a problem with the WEI. The HD result is 3,0 but it's obviusly wrong beacuse i have a Seagate 7200.11 160gb sata2 hd.

    All other results are correct.

Do you have any idea why i have this result?

    Thanks

I get a similar result with a similar speed drive. I'm thinking Microsoft tuned the WEI to support SSDs (much faster than HDDs) and so we score lower now.

I don't think so becaues at home, with the same HD i have a 5.0

Maybe there is something wrong with sata drivers...

review the sticky "Show us your WEI"... its the indexing that's busted not your hardware.

Turn off write caching for the disk then run again. You may be surprised. Once finished turn it back on
Its been discussed on here before mate.

Mine went from 3.0 to 6.0 after disabling 'write-cache buffer flushing' on drives :)
