Lost Desktop folder after creating new partition

So I created a new partition E after moving contents from and then deleting G. Seems I didn't relocate the desktop folder and now I can't save things / shortcuts on the desktop or taskbar. And the error message is this:

G:\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. etc, etc, etc....

How do I reassociate this to the Desktop folder that is now in E?

The Desktop folder should be in C:\Users\username\Desktop.

Since yours is missing, take a look at this tutorial User Folders - Restore Default Location

Notice the tutorial also has a download that fixes your registry and restores the folder to the default location.
