Windows 7: I got my laptop stolen! What should I do.

The 1st thing you should be worrying about, if you use your debit card for purchases like I and a million others do, is that info saved and gonna show up. You should call the number on your card immediately and put a hold on your account.

If you used Internet Explorer then your usernames and passwords may not be such a problem as it never stores anything, for me anyway, you would actually have to type in the 1st letter of your username. Now Chrome or Chromium, that`s a different story.

I know my card info is stored on newegg and tigerdirect even if I use Ccleaner or Disk Cleanup. But I think you have to always enter the exp date and the 3 digit security code to make a purchase.

Make sure to use truecrypt to encrypt your new laptop so you don't have to worry about these things if it ever happens again. +1 for using last pass

+1 for Prey. Almost got a colleague arrested when a guy brought to him a stolen smartphone for a "repair", but was fun neverthless.
