Question about purchasing cheap laptops on Ebay

I was looking at this one (already sold): IBM ThinkPad R51 Laptop 1 6GHz 1GB 80GB Wireless | eBay

I saw that it says 1GB Memory. Could it be upgraded to 2GB?
I heard ThinkPads are good because they are leak proof and they don't break easily if you drop it. Is that same for this ThinkPad?

It says that it's booted to bios so that means no HDD is included right?

Why would you want to buy a museum model like that. There is very little you can do with it unless you want to only surf the internet using Windows 2000. I would not even pay $10 for a paperweight like this.

As to your questions - Thinkpads had a good reputation and for the upgrades you'll have to check the mobo. The HDD and the CPU are not worth much either.
