Scratch that! Read through the install steps and it looks like I am going to lose all of my data either way. If you don't mind, first, I'd like to go back to safe mode and try to do a full recovery from there first. I haven't tried that yet; also because, I'd like to keep some of my bloat programs that came on the computer; If I cannot access full recovery it in safe mode I will follow the steps you've given. The new 7 USB installation tool is already on my desktop, just in case I need it. sure hate losing all of my data though. It had 750 GB and it is full. Got a Clickfree Terabyte, but, unable to back anything up to it. "Access Denied"! Lol
Once again, thank you for all of your help "Vista KING". Check back on Monday if you can; It may take me a while to get to the installation this weekend. Have a great one!

Hello Vista King. It is only Sunday, but, thought I'd post as I go, so that, I do not leave anything out that may be important to solving this issue.
Well, no luck until now. Been working on this all weekend. I found that I did not do a very goo job of backing things up and there are family pictures that I can not bare to part with, so, I am going to try to get to the system administrator elevation and try to change the permissions, if that does not work, I will go back and use the tools you sent and see if they will work in this elevated mode. Either way, I would still need to clean this thing up. I'll start by uninstalling NIS with the Revouninstaller and follow your steps from there. I'll keep posting until I find the answer, or, run into another brick wall.

You could enable the hidden Administrator account .

Open up an Elevated Command Prompt. Click on in type CMD . Right click on CMD under Programs (1) choose . On the User Access Control window click on the Yes button . Command Prompt opens up to C:\Windows\System32>_

Type in net user administrator /active: yes and press <Enter>

If that doesn't work try enabling it from the System Recovery command prompt

To enter System Recovery Options from the Advanced Boot Options:
    • Restart the computer.
    • As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until Advanced Boot Options appears.
    • Use the arrow keys to select the Repair Your Computer menu item.
    • Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.
    • Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    • Select your user account an click Next.

On the System Recovery Options menu you will get the following options:

    • Startup Repair
    • System Restore
    • Windows Complete PC Restore
    • Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
    • Command Prompt

    Select Command Prompt

Lost track of everything. Unable to re-hide the system account. Forgot how I arrived there.
I have not even had the time to catch up on using the forums. I see that there has been over 400 people viewing but only Vista King has any advice. Kind of spooky.
Forward: Went to the “repair computer” and used the prompt as suggested; it opened in:
    Administrator: X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe
Can you tell me how to re-hide the SYSTEM administrator account?
I tried to remember what I did and hit many brick walls, but, this one stuck out. Can you tell me what it means?
I typed at this prompt X:\sources\recovery\Tools> net user administrator:no and got this message:
    NET USER
[User Name [password : *] [options]] [DOMAIN]
    Username {password : *} /ADD [options] [DOMAIN]
    Username [/Delete] [/Domain]
    Username [/Times : {times : ALL} ]
Logged out of there and created a desk top in the actual SYSTEM administrator account (maybe not wise).
    Typed in “CMD”
    Right clicked “run as administrator”
This was at the prompt C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
    Typed C:\users\administrator>net user active:no
Error: The syntax for this command is:
    NET USER
[User Name [password : *] [options]] [DOMAIN]
    Username {password : *} /ADD [options] [DOMAIN]
    Username [/Delete] [/Domain]
    Username [/Times : {times : ALL} ]

Before you re-hide the built-in admin account....I have an idea. Take the disc out and...can you log into that system account? If you can, go to an elevated command prompt and type in:

    wmic useraccount get /value
and paste for us what you see there. This will me to understand a bit better what's going on.

Not a thing! Nothing against you! I just saw 451 views in the upper right corner, and, since I do not know how to use the forum yet, I really don’t know what that means. I was just thinking that it would be a little spooky having all of those views and only one person offered help, in my desperation. The numbers don’t add up, I mean what are the odds that out of those many people, no one else would have another idea? I’m sure there’s a logical explanation for those numbers, but, I am submerged in this, and have no time to learn until my computer is tech worthy.
I am really sorry if I offended you, I would not want to do that; I need you!
    Hang in there "Vista King"!
Thanks for showing up "Think Tank". Vista King has been going it alone for a while now.
I can only get into elevated CMD by safe mode.
By the way "Vista King". which prompt should I use use for re-hidding administrator account?
Remove what disk "Think Tank", and which Prompt for wmic useraccount get /value?

DumDaFied relax, take a deep breath. All those people that view are doing just that, viewing. I view many threads without posting. Sometimes I follow threads like this one for days and never post.
Many of the members just watch members helping members and learn by doing so.
