COA The sticker says it is illegal to remove or sell the sticker.

    The Product key is ***REMOVED**

    ENA Code is **REMOVED**

Under that it says it is COA certified and gives a microsoft url.
I downloaded the windows 7 usb tool and the other url you gave me for the Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 English Official downloads but it opens to OMG burner X17-58997.iso
I googled it and it gives that same number so is this correct? When I tried to put the other file in it to burn it doesn't see it.
I hope this finally is on the road to getting what I need to do.
When I set this up a year and a half ago I had the choice of Swedish or English and chose English for the downloading. Don't know if that helps. I do not do well reading instructions in Swedish a newspaper or book is fine but instructions are to short for me to pick up what is going on if I don't recognize a word or two.

I asked you for the licensed version name, not the Product Key.

Exactly what version does it say on the sticker, verbatim?

As it says in the tutorial Step 2 and I wrote out for you two posts above, burn the ISO with Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool.

This means to download and Install the tool, browse to the ISO when prompted and burn it to disk if you're sure you have Home Premium and not Home Premium N or some other version.

I also asked you about this:

I would consider doing the alternative of running Minimal HP System Recovery. If you choose Minimal Recovery it will be almost the same as doing a Clean Reinstall. If you have wireless it will use the HP Wireless Manager which needs to be turned off, then uninstalled, then connect wirelessly through the Win7 System Tray connection icon.

Let's do it the easiest way.

This is the 3rd time! I keep crashing. I took pics of all the labels will do a couple of replies here.
If they are needed for the easier way for recovery you will have them. I have been confused and lost on every post since pg 11 and have had no idea what I should or shouldn't do. I am sorry. Let me know if you still need them. I will again put every single thing on that label. Windows 7 Home Premium OA
COA Label not to be sold separately Microsoft.comhowtotell
On the other side of the label it has a number after the bar code and the rest is simply the numbers I gave you before which I realize was wrong.
I have IMG installed. If you need me to burn the ISO to a dvd that is fine just tell me where to find it. I know I am frustrating you and believe me I am not happy with all of my confusion.

OK, so it's Windows 7 Home Premium. You have the correct download which will activate with the Product Key on the sticker if you decide to do the Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Now how about running the Minimal HP System Recovery which should be easier for you to do since it includes all of your drivers. Read over that blue link and let me know which you think you prefer - that or the Clean Reinstall.

From what I read about the System Recovery it looks like all the things I have no idea of what we have been talking about are not needed. My files are all on the external. I have all the programs I use on a flash drive - but I do have a question I understand I can turn on the firewall before I go on line. But is there a way I can get my Panda Scan on a cd or dvd or flash drive to set up totally before I go on line? I know I was off line and tried to put it in one time and of course was told that even with the download I had to be on line. 2nd question if it asks for administrators permission am I going to be stopped? 3rd question do I still make a dvd using omg burner for something I don't know what to download and will need an explanation on how to find it. This recovery if taking several hours I will have to start in the morning and be right here. Evening won't work my chronic fatigue keeps me zonking out all the time after 10 pm. I do have 4 recovery dvd's and I understand I use them only if prompted to do so. I will do what you say is the best to do as you know what you are doing. If it is this System Restore I will get a notebook and make notes from the video I watched and will have to wait until we do not have thunder and lightening warnings. We did yesterday and again today and maybe tomorrow. What am I missing?

I would uninstall any AV which the Recovery replaces, then install Microsoft Security Essentials.

Then all you need is the free (not trial) Malwarebytes scanner for on-demand scanning, perhaps monthly or if you think you have an infection.

Save the Recovery disks to run only if HP System Recovery when run from Windows or by using the F11 key fails.

Be sure to look for the Minimal Recovery choice which is on most modern models. If not then you will have all of the terrible load of HP bloatware restored, so I would conider proceeding with the Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 instead, or be sure afterwards to Clean Up Factory Bloatware

Ok will go over entire pc and make sure all user folder etc are on external and other files I have kept. I put the Microsoft security system download on my flash drive. That will work correct?
Then before plugging in I put that in and then once on Internet I update windows 7 and put in the freeware malwarebytes. I had the older one and it was on all the time but this new updated one doesn't or am I missing something? Once I am on internet again I just put in the programs I use and start over. Now in watching the HP recovery video there is no mention of a minimal recovery. Just recovery to factory default. That will put the junk in again? I can recognize some of it but probably not all. I did searches on how to do a minimal recovery on HP but nothing comes up that pertains to that. If I do the clean reinstall we are back to where I don't know even what to burn as I don't know how to find it etc. Is there a hijack program or something I can run and post back here to you and you can tell me what I missed taking out? I think it would be easier on both of us if we can avoid hours of you trying to get me to do what is needed.

Once you're sure you have everything backed up, run Minimal Recovery, then get online, install Teamviewer. PM me the ID and password so I can connect to set it up and optimize for you.

Gregrocker: I will be doing it either tomorrow morning or Wed morning depending on the weather reports. As I said when I watched the HP video it only said system recovery to factory default. I googled if there was a minimal recovery on HP and I couldn't find anything. Since I was driving us both crazy with the clean reinstall I will do the minimal if I can otherwise the factory default. I don't know what time zone you are in and when I should be here but once I put in microsoft firewall and antivirus and the Malwarebytes and the Team Viewer I will contact you by private message and give you the password and just leave the pc on until you find me. Does that sound ok? The stormy night and day turned into a calm night and sunshine today so who knows? Thank you for still offering to come in and do the rest. I thought I was going to muddle along until I got it done.

    Sounds good, Bonnie.

Remember to make your HP Recovery media first so you have a backup method in case running Recovery from F11 fails.

Or you can fall back on the Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Once you get TV installed I'll connect and chat with you as I set it up, clean up any bloatware and optimize it for you.

What do you use for Word Processing again? Do you have a copy of Office or do you need Works? I have the installers to send over if you have the Product Key. Just run Belarc Advisor to audit any installed Product Keys off the system.

Be sure to also put your two Network adapters I linked earlier for you in the backup as a precaution.
